Flinders University is a public research university headquarters in Adelaide, South Australia, with 11 campuses in South Australia and the Northern Territory. It was founded in 1966 and named after Matthew Flinders, a British sailor who explored and mapped the Australian and South Australian coastlines in the early nineteenth century.
